Houston Home Prices Staying Steady

Houston home prices have stayed steady, meaning when you buy a home in the Houston area you can be confident it will hold its value.

According to ZipRealtyInc., a residential real estate firm, Houston homeowners trying to sell their homes during the month of January reduced their home prices less than many other sellers across the U.S. Among 27 U.S. housing markets, housing price reductions ranged from an average of $10,000 in Houston to $44,901 in San Diego.

Not only was Houston an area that had the lowest home price reduction, but fewer homes in both Houston and across the country had to reduce their prices. For the Houston area, only 37.1 percent of homes for sale had their prices reduced during January, with the majority of homes holding steady prices and value. A lower reduction in home prices was also seen nationally - in December 44 percent of homeowners reduced their prices nationally, compared with just over 40 percent in January.

Houston real estate continues to stay strong and steady, so if you’re looking for a home, look no further than right here.
