Anuga FoodTec’s co-organiser German Agricultural Society (DLG) to present Milk Technology forum at the exhibition on 5th April
The DLG, who together with Koelnmesse jointly organises Anuga FoodTec 4-7th April, is planning an expert forum on milk technology at the exhibition on the 5th April. DLG draws upon its international expert network in the food sector, to pull together some of the world‘s foremost dairy experts from the research as well as the business side. The result is five technical presentations that highlight the latest international innovations and development trends in the sector. Presented in English and German, the comprehensive forum takes place on 5th April from 14.00-17.00 in the Congress Center at the Koelnmesse. The entry fee is 145 euros for DLG members and 195 for non-members. Registration deadline is 24th March.
The milk sector, traditionally a strong representative at Anuga FoodTec, is one of the key innovations drivers in the food industry.

Presenters and papers at the DLG Milk Technology Forum
Dr. Peter Lorenzen from the Federal Research Institute for Nutrition and Foods will be pre-senting results in relation to research on the properties of fermented milk products from milk treated with transglutaminase. "Innovative procedures for the liquid use of whey" is the subject of the paper by Gerhard Schier vom ALPMA Maschinenbau GmbH. Following that, Klaus Lochbuehler from INDAG in Heidelberg will be focusing his presentation on fruit preparation as an example of the use of IPS - an innovative heating technology for pas-teurising and sterilising foods. Research results on the use of simulation in the milk proc-essing industry will be presented by Jan le Blond from the Fraunhofer Institute for Produc-tion Technology and Automation. The concluding paper, by Frank Welle from Fraunhofer Institute, discusses modern production processes for packaging of milk products and the trends in the light of conformity.
